A new entertainment venue is coming to downtown Greenville. (Video above: Morning headlines from WYFF News 4) The groundbreaking for Trueline, described as a multi-level music and entertainment venue, was held in the West End of Greenville on Thursday. The 1,700-capacity dual-level live music hall at 401 Rhett St. is a piece of a larger entertainment complex set to launch in 2025.Other than the main music hall, the complex is expected to feature a clubhouse with a rooftop view of the West End as well as large-screen displays both inside and out. This space will also be open daily for coffee, cocktails and late-night bites. It’s also billed as an ideal venue for community events, group classes and viewing parties. There will also be a space called Handlebar, described as an intimate performance space. The founders say this space will be used for hosting local and regional artists to DJ nights and dance parties. They said this location is also perfect for private events. The Green Room will be a premier members club for after-parties featuring craft cocktails and small bites. The founder of Trueline, Michael Grozier, has a long-standing career in the live entertainment industry.Over the past 30 years, Grozier has been involved in building and operating iconic music venues, including his co-founding of the legendary House of Blues. “Trueline brings to life the pinnacle of art, design, functionality, and top-notch entertainment inspired by each of these entertainment venues for a space unlike any other,” a release about the venue said.
