Launch Music Conference and Festival kicked off for its 16th year Thursday.
The band Would You Kindly? of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and singer-songwriter Elle Taranis of Reading were among the performers on the York College of Pennsylvania stage at Penn Square in Lancaster city. The event will feature 135 performances across several venues, including the Lancaster Marriott and Lancaster County Convention Center, Plough, Tellus360 and the Rural City Taproom.
The annual event aims to support up-and-coming artists with educational panels, as well as performance and networking opportunities.
The conference and festival continues through Saturday, with performances wrapping up 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
