Entertainment lineup for Stevens Point festival

STEVENS POINT – More acts have been announced for this summer’s Riverfront Rendezvous Community Festival’s 40th year.

Riverfront Rendezvous runs July 4-6 at Pfiffner Pioneer Park. The festival features three stages of entertainment and offers free activities for families with no tickets or entrance fees. Visitors will not be allowed to bring any carry-ins, animals or fireworks into the park during the festival.

While the headlining acts were announced in January, the Stevens Point Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department announced the full lineup Thursday.

Thursday, July 4

• Big Oil will perform from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pfiffner Building. Big Oil is a five-piece rock band based in Appleton.
• Rhythm Playboys will perform from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pfiffner Building. Rhythm Playboys is a polka band from Osseo.
• Barefoot Americans will perform from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday on the Anniversary Stage. Barefoot Americans is a jam rock band from the Fox Valley area.
• Wheelhouse will perform from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday on the Anniversary Stage. Wheelhouse is an Americana and bluegrass band from Madison.
• Miss Myra and the Moonshiners will perform from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday on the Mainstage. Miss Myra and the Moonshiners is a jazz and swing band from Minneapolis.
• Copper Box will perform from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Thursday on the Mainstage. Copper Box is an Americana band based in Oshkosh.
• Spin Doctors will perform from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Thursday on the Mainstage. Spin Doctors is a rock band from New York City best known for their hit songs “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong.” Spin Doctors will be the Thursday headliner.
